As many people know, I’m currently in Seattle at the 2009 PASS Summit. Its been a busy week so far, and things are just getting started. Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a pre-conference seminar presented to bestselling author and “Small Talk Expert” Don Gabor. What an experience! I learned a great deal of things that seem like simple concepts, but I had never thought about before. Something as simple as smiling and not crossing your arms to make yourself more open and approachable. He also taught us a few tricks that he uses for remembering peoples names and he had us try it out. The results were quite impressive. At the close of the session we received a copy of his book “How to Start a Conversation and Make Friends“. I look forward to reading it and suggest that if you ever get the opportunity to attend one of his seminars, don’t pass it up.
